Would you like to live in another country?

Hello my lovely readers!

It's Christmas break, yay! I enjoy the realxation and not having stress, but I don't feel like going outside because it's cold and I must admit that I absolutely hate the winter and the cold weather, especially the snow! Ugh, I wish I could escape all the winter time and head to Australia... In Australia it is summer time right now and the weather is beyond heavenly. As a matter of fact, my biggest wish, or should I say goal, is to move to Australia after finishing my studies here in Graz. I have felt very attracted to this country for a long period of time, and there are a lot of reasons why. To start off, I just love that there's always nice and warm weather because I'm not a winter person. Another reason are the friendly people. Every time I talked to someone who visited Australia they were just prasing about how polite and friendly the Aussies are. It is important to me to live in a country where people cherish courtesy. I love to watch documetaries about Australia's nature and (rare) animal species, and the way its landscapes look like are amazing itself. Australia has numerous parks, beaches and deserts (which are, essentially, Australia's trademark). But the biggest factor that attratcts me, and millions of other people perhaps too, are the professional opportunities. I have always feared that after graduating from univeristy I won't be able to find a job in my field and this thought still eats me up from the inside. In Australia, I know my job opportunities are unlimited with a lagnguage degree in my hands. Their market is constantly growing and therefore there are jobs for everyone. Also, I can't and won't lie, but I find the Australian accent very appealing and original.
So what are the disatvantages? Are there even any? Sure there are, just like in any other country. E.g. All the snakes and spiders, but I can live with that. Maybe homesickness? Australia is a continent placed down south and far away from Europe, but to every problem there's a solution - I am quite sure there are plenty of communities of all nationalities. When summing all this information up, the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages. I know I probably sound like a tourist brochure in  this post, but I grew to love this country more than my own!
Anyways, all of this will have to stay in my 'goal-zone' for at least three more years, which means I have to get back to reality - studying and the winter!

Love,

Jelena

P.S.: Here's a lovely picture of the Byron Beach in New south Wales which is ranked amongst the five best beaches in Australia.
