Do you use an E-Reader?

Hi everyone!

The other day I took my sister's e-reader as I wanted to try it out. There's quite a hype about them from the day they came out on the market. Many would trash-talk about them because they think nothing can replace paper books, whereas there are those who absolutely love e-readers and think they are revolutionary and practical. I was among those conservative ones who were against e-readers until I actually decided to try them out. I soon realised how wrong and close-minded I was. In fact, e-readers happen to be very handy. First, they are not as 'heavy' like books can be, i.e. when a book has around 500+ pages and heavy covers, it can get a bit heavy for one to carry around. Also it's small and fits in every bag/handbag. Second, I love that the display colour is in paper colour shade at all times, even when it is turned off. When I read at night in bed, the light of the display isn't too bright and isn't hurting my eyes like the light from my smartphone's display. I also noticed that there's  no mirror effect because the display is completely matte. Have you ever experienced annoying situations when reading a book and trying to eat or drink at the same time and then you accidentally close the book? Well let me tell you: This will not happen with an e-reader because the book will remain 'open' on the same page you are reading as long as you wish. Capacity. Isn't it awesome that you can have 100 books at same time in one device? Switching up books was never easier! What I also love about e-readers is that I can browse on it like on a tablet. Meaning, I can also save a lot of money due to thousands of free books on the internet, so I don't have to buy books anymore. They are truly  multifunctional and I simply can not stop using my sister's e-reader at the moment. I think I will have to get myself one too!

Cheers,

Jelena
